ShopView is a mature system of record built by shop owners, with ShopCoach AI (launched August 2025) added on top as an assistant. Today MetaFleet's technician view runs in the browser on any phone, with nothing to install. Native iOS and Android apps are coming in Q4. ShopView is a responsive web app; we found no public confirmation of a native app.

Does ShopView have AI?+

Yes, ShopView launched ShopCoach AI in August 2025. It drafts work orders from a typed prompt, suggests parts, flags revenue left on the table (open estimates, declined lines, unbilled parts), and answers plain-English reporting questions. In September 2026 ShopView added a VIN-specific AI labor time guide that learns from each shop's completed work orders. The difference isn't whether there's AI, it's where it lives. ShopCoach sits beside a traditional system; MetaFleet's AI is woven into the workflow itself.

What's actually different about MetaFleet's AI?+

Three things we couldn't find a public ShopView equivalent for: it builds the work order from your tech's field findings (not a typed desk prompt), it transcribes and scores the calls on its built-in phone lines, and it turns vendor invoice and receipt photos into draft purchase orders and imports your existing PDF inspection forms, so you're not keying them in.

Is MetaFleet built for heavy-duty like ShopView?+
