Product · What we've shipped

The MetaFleet you saw last isn't the MetaFleet you get today.

We've been heads-down since spring. Two brand-new modules, an AI assistant that reads photos, two-way QuickBooks sync, and a hundred upgrades to the way your shop runs - here's what actually landed, in plain terms.

If you looked at MetaFleet a few months ago, look again. Between late February and the end of July we shipped 560 improvements to the product - 92 of them big enough to write about - across nearly every corner of it.

This is the short version: the work that changes how your shop actually runs, minus the plumbing. We build fast on purpose - MetaFleet is an AI-native system that runs the job with you, and it moves at the speed of the shops we build it for.

New

Two brand-new modules, built from zero

Not upgrades - net-new. Two things you simply couldn't do in MetaFleet in the spring, you now do end-to-end.

Digital inspections & DVI

A complete inspection system, built from nothing: a library of templates, a drag-and-drop builder, and one tap to turn a failed inspection line into a scheduled repair, with follow-ups that scale across a whole fleet.

The part shops love: upload the paper inspection form you already use, and our AI rebuilds it digitally. Completed inspections then come back on your form - not a generic one. Bring the sheet you already trust; we digitize it.

Preventive maintenance & scheduling

A real PM program, end-to-end: enroll a single vehicle or a whole fleet, track what's due by mileage or engine-hours, and run it all on a drag-to-reschedule calendar with bay availability. Automated reminders fire at 24 hours and 3 hours out. This is the engine behind winning - and keeping - fleet maintenance contracts.

AI that works the job with you

Not a chatbot bolted on the side - AI wired into the actual work, trained on heavy-duty diesel and yellow iron. It shows up wherever the work does: in your bay, out on the roadside, or across the fleet you manage.

Snap a photo, ask the assistant

A tech under a truck photographs the problem and gets an answer. The assistant already has the whole job - vehicle, VIN, complaint, work items, and parts - and stays locked to diesel and heavy-equipment topics.

Diagnosis suggestions, on tap

During diagnosis the assistant suggests likely causes you can tap to accept - your dispatcher or tech stays in control and picks what fits.

AI that reads your paperwork

Upload a vendor invoice and the line items extract themselves. Upload a messy onboarding spreadsheet and it maps itself, row by row, with a preview before anything commits.

Smart technician assignment

When a job needs a tech, MetaFleet ranks your clocked-in crew by real drive-time ETA, skill match, and current workload - with live GPS - then auto-offers the job to the best fit. No answer in five minutes? It cascades to the next tech, then escalates to your lead. And it explains its pick in one plain sentence you can overrule.

Parts, sourced to the nearest shelf

MetaFleet now sources every part on a job automatically - nearest in-stock location first, with real drive-time - then hands the whole kit to the assigned tech in one tap, so it lands on their truck without a single phone call. And when stock dips below par, it emails the right person and rolls up a weekly reorder digest - so you stop finding out you're out of a part when the truck is already on the job.

Two-way QuickBooks sync

Customers, parts, payments, and invoices flow both directions between MetaFleet and QuickBooks Online - and reconcile themselves at the end of each day instead of waiting for someone to click sync. Running more than one brand? Each connects to its own set of books.

A portal that makes you look national

Your customers now get a clean self-service portal: a live status timeline, a “your technician is on the way” card, approve-an-estimate, and pay - all rebuilt. Your invoices, estimates, and inspection reports come out as polished, branded PDFs. The small-shop feel is gone; you look like the biggest name in your market.

Billing that gets the money right

The unglamorous math that decides whether you're actually profitable: rates priced by the job-site location - so weekend, holiday, and roadside work bill correctly - decomposed taxes by jurisdiction, late fees and interest, partial and bulk payments, and a reporting hub that shows revenue, parts cost, and margin per job and per technician.

And under the hood

We spent real time where you'll never see it: a faster, more secure platform, a locked-down mobile app, correct time zones for every user, and infrastructure rebuilt to take on scale. The boring work that keeps the lights on when your shop is busiest.

Coming next

A few of the things we're building next:

Talk to MetaFleet from your favorite AI tool

We're releasing a connector for Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and the rest - so you can ask your shop questions in plain language (“which trucks are due for PM this week?”) and tell MetaFleet to do things, right from the AI tool you already use. This is what AI-native actually means.

A new mobile app, built offline-first

A ground-up technician app that keeps working with zero signal - under a truck, on a highway shoulder, in a dead zone - and syncs the moment you're back in range.

Shift scheduling for your crew

Build technician shift patterns, overtime rules, and holidays - so your calendar and the assignment engine always know who's actually on the clock before a job goes out.

A built-in comms suite

Every conversation between your dispatchers, service writers, and techs in one place - tied to the jobs they're actually about, so nothing gets lost in a group text or buried in a thread.

See it in your shop.

Already on MetaFleet, or looked once and moved on - either way, the product has moved a lot. Take twenty minutes and see where it is now.
